Our story
Almost eighty years of making connections.
KAAM Networks is inspired by a family business journey that began with Akram Khan and Sons in the remote town of Tank, in the North-West of Pakistan.
Akram Khan and Sons
Tank, North-West Pakistan
Where it began
A way of working, handed down.
01
1946
Akram Khan and Sons opens in Tank
A small business in a remote town in the North-West of what would become Pakistan. It grew the only way a business could there: through relationships, trust and connections.
02
1950s–1990s
Three generations, one reputation
The business passed through the family, and with it a way of working. Introductions were made carefully. A promise given was a promise kept.
03
2020s
A new country, the same gap
Arriving in Australia, the family saw how many capable people struggled not for lack of opportunity but for lack of someone to introduce them to it.

Today
KAAM Networks
Four programs under one banner, serving Australian communities and businesses, nationally and internationally. The principles have not changed.
Vision and mission
Our vision
To become a trusted network of connections: a place where individuals, businesses, educational institutions, community organisations and international partners can find the right pathway, the right opportunity or the right connection.
Our mission
To connect Australian communities and businesses with the right people and the right opportunities, both nationally and internationally, with honesty, trust, clarity and excellence.
Values
Four principles, one standard.
These were at the heart of Akram Khan and Sons from the first day. They remain at the heart of KAAM Networks today.
Honesty
Being genuine and transparent in the way we work.
Trust
Building relationships that people can depend on.
Clarity
Making information, opportunities and connections easier to understand.
Excellence
Striving to provide the best possible service and meaningful outcomes.
Different programs, different communities
One KAAM Networks.
Each program serves a different need. A business looking for the right counterpart overseas, a family working out which school door to knock on, a professional with time to give, a learner held back by circumstances. All of them operate under one banner and are guided by the same four principles.
That is the whole idea: one network, one standard of care, whichever door you come in through.
Begin with a conversation.
You do not need to know which program fits. Describe your situation and a real person will take it from there.
